Chief Minister's Congratulatory Letters

Find out how to request a letter from the Chief Minister. Congratulatory letters celebrate significant birthdays and wedding anniversaries.

Canberrans can ask for a letter from the ACT Chief Minister for a significant birthday or wedding anniversary.

You can receive a letter for:

  • 50th wedding anniversaries, and for each year after that
  • 80th birthdays, and for each year after.

How to request a letter

You can ask for a letter for you, or someone you know, such as a family member.

To request online, you must include either a:

  1. copy of your birth certificate, passport or marriage certificate
  2. statutory declaration with the relevant names and anniversary details.

You can get a statutory declaration from a post office or download an online statutory declaration form
