Ministerial Advisory Council for Veterans and their Families
We provide a way for veterans and their families to communicate with the ACT Government about issues affecting them.
What we do
We provide advice to ACT Government including the ACT Office for Veterans on policies and programs that help support veterans and their families.
We research, monitor and provide advice about:
- mental and physical health
- disability
- ageing
- employment
- social inclusion and participation.
We promote:
- the wellbeing of the veterans’ community
- cooperation and collaboration across organisations dealing with issues affecting veterans and their families.
Our current focus areas are:
- health and wellbeing
- employment and education
- veteran specific services and supports.

Our members
We are members of the veterans’ community, many of us are current or ex-members of the Australian Defence Force. Some of us are their relatives - partners, parents and children.
We understand the issues that affect veterans and their families and have the ability and motivation to make a positive contribution to the veterans’ community.
