Summary

Woods Reserve campground, including Gibraltar Falls, will be closed from November 2025 until mid-2026, to enable a complete upgrade of the facilities and reserve area.

Background

Following the devastating 2019/20 bushfires in Namadgi National Park (NNP), the Australian Government contributed grant funding towards Bushfire Recovery efforts across multiple precincts within NNP.

One of those precincts in urgent need of upgrading was identified as the Woods Reserve campground and Gibraltar Falls. The ACT Government has since completed detailed design documentation for these upgrade works.
