Consumer reference group for end of life and palliative care
Wherever you are in the ACT, we want the palliative care you receive to be:
- based on the best evidence
- provided by staff who understand how to best support you.
Providers of palliative care services in the ACT are committed to working together and with you to achieve this. We are continually looking at what changes and improvements we can make.
Consumer reference group
A consumer reference group for end of life and palliative care was established in February 2021. Members of this reference group were appointed following an expression of interest process. They meet quarterly and provide input into the planning, development and delivery of end of life and palliative care services in the ACT.

Recommended education
Staff in health, aged care and community settings need training and support to provide the best end of life care to patients and their families. A wide range of education is available to all health professionals, volunteers, carers and consumers.
