Who can use this service

You may qualify to get treatment and medicine from a pharmacist if you have:

  • mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) and are between 6 months and 65 years old (inclusive)
  • herpes zoster (shingles) and are 18 years or older
  • impetigo (school sores) and are 12 months or older
  • mild plaque psoriasis and are 18 years or older.

Participating pharmacies

You may need to book a consultation with the pharmacy.

You may be charged a fee for both the consultation and medication.

What the pharmacist will do

Your pharmacist will assess your skin condition and ask you questions.

These questions help the pharmacist to:

  • check that you qualify for treatment
  • assess your skin condition
  • give you advice on managing your skin condition.

If you need more care your pharmacist will refer you to your doctor (GP) or the emergency department.
