Help buying a home
Support to help you buy your own home including, grants, stamp duty reductions and other programs.
We are trying to reduce the costs of buying a home in the ACT. We are increasing the supply of affordable houses available for people on low-to-moderate incomes to buy.
We’re also continuing to reduce conveyance duty, commonly known as stamp duty. This is a tax you pay when you buy land or property. Certain people can get further reductions on stamp duty (concessions) or have more time to pay it (deferrals).
