Financial support with the costs of staying in your own home and lowering running costs.

Support is available for Canberrans to keep up with the costs of staying in their own home.

We can also help with the costs of making your home more energy-efficient and therefore cheaper to run.

Interest-free mortgage loans

Repayable, interest-free loans are available to help you pay your mortgage. These loans are for people who have unforeseen changes. These could include loss of employment, sudden illness or injury in the last 12 months.

Some people can get a rebate (money back) on their rates. This includes people on pensions, over 65, with a disability or experiencing hardship. You may also pay lower rates or have longer to pay if you are experiencing hardship.
