ACT's free public wi-fi
You can access free public wi-fi through:
- ACT public libraries
- Access Canberra service centres
- CBRfree wi-fi network.
Find CBRfree wi-fi
There are free public wi-fi spots in Belconnen, Civic, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong and Woden.
Connect to CBRfree
When you are in range, CBRfree wi-fi will appear on your list of wi-fi networks on your device.
To connect:
- Check the list of wi-fi networks under your settings.
- Choose 'CBRfree'.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
You do not need to provide personal details, your email or a password.
You can use up to 1 gigabyte of data each day from wi-fi spots across the ACT.

Data collection and privacy
Our network provider iiNet collects data for us about:
- how many users connect and where
- total traffic.
We do not:
- collect personal information or data that can identify you
- track where you visited online.
