Funding to establish a new children’s mental health and wellbeing hub

Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub

This grant provides funding for one or more organisations to establish a new service. This service will provide mental health and wellbeing supports to children aged 0-12, as well as their families, carers, and kin. This service will provide support for mild, moderate, and emerging mental health concerns.

The Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub aims to:

• Offer flexible, wrap-around supports
• Improve service collaboration

Who this is for

This grant is for organisations that have experience supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children aged 0-12, as well as their families, carers, and kin.

What you get

You can get a grant of up to $2.45 million (GST exclusive) per year for 2 years, with a possibility of extension.

Check if you can apply

Organisations can apply if they are:

• incorporated
• a partnership
• a joint application (consortia)
• a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation
• a publicly funded research organisation.

Organisations must also:

• have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN)
• be GST registered
• have an account with an Australian financial institution.

Organisations should have experience:

• delivering specialised mental health and wellbeing supports to children and families
• working with multidisciplinary teams

If you’re successful, you’ll provide:

• free mental health and wellbeing supports to children and their families, carers, and kin.
• Innovative and flexible supports that are evidence informed
