The ACT Government has 2 documents to support how it manages and governs data across the ACT public service.
The Data Governance Management Policy Framework introduces 12 practical steps and a checklist to guide staff to better manage how we capture, protect, use and share data. It acknowledges the importance of data in our daily work, while recognising the context in which each directorate operates.
The Data Governance Management Guide supports staff to deliver the Framework and improve how we govern and manage the data we hold. It explains how we can:
- build a data-driven culture
- establish good data management processes
- measure our progress to govern and manage our data assets.
