As part of the ACT Government's Open Government commitment, this document is a public summary of matters considered by Cabinet. It is not intended to be a detailed set of minutes and does not cover all matters considered by Cabinet. Among the matters not covered are materials considered in the formation of the ACT budget, commercial and industrial matters under negotiation as well as matters that would impact personal privacy, security and the ACT economy. Nothing in this document can be considered a waiver of the Government's executive privilege.

Committees of Cabinet

A Capital Metro subcommittee of Cabinet meeting was convened.  Cabinet was provided a briefing on the Capital Metro Project.

Appointments

ACT Nomination for the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) Board

Cabinet agreed to the appointment of the ACT representative on the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority Board for up to three years determined by the Education Council and to the Minister for Education referring this nominee to the COAG Education Council.

ACT Perspective on White Papers on the Reform of the Federation and the Reform of Australia's Tax System and Associated Deliberations

Cabinet noted the upcoming White Paper on the Reform of the Federation and White Paper on the Reform of Australia's Tax System to prepare the ACT for its participation in these processes, including consideration of its policy options and strategic positioning.
