As part of the ACT Government's Open Government commitment, this document is a public summary of matters considered by Cabinet. It is not intended to be a detailed set of minutes and does not cover all matters considered by Cabinet. Among matters not covered are materials considered in the formation of the ACT budget, commercial and industrial matters under negotiation, as well as matters that would impact personal privacy, security and the ACT economy. Nothing in this document can be considered a waiver of the Government's executive privilege.

Committees of Cabinet

A Budget Committee of Cabinet meeting was convened. Treasury officials joined with Cabinet Ministers to discuss matters of fiscal significance.

National Partnership Agreement on Universal Access to Early Childhood Education

Cabinet discussed the ACT's participation in the National Partnership Agreement on Universal Access to Early Childhood Education in 2015.

ACT–NSW Memorandum of Understanding for Regional Collaboration (2014 Revision)

Cabinet discussed the ACT–NSW Memorandum of Understanding for Regional Collaboration, including the proposed work program for 2015 and the achievements made under the previous MoU.  It is proposed that the Chief Minister, and the NSW Premier will sign the MoU in the near future. After signing, the MoU will be made available on the CMTEDD website.

Appointments

    Canberra Region Medical Education Council

    Cabinet agreed to endorse the appointment of 12 members of the Canberra Region Medical Education Council for either two or three year terms.

    Official Visitor – Disability Services

    Cabinet agreed to the appointment of two part-time Official Visitors under the Disability Services Act 1991, subject to Standing Committee consultation.

    ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Consultative Group

    Cabinet agreed to three appointments to the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Consultative Group.

    Architects Board

    Cabinet agreed an appointment to the ACT Architects Board, subject to Standing Committee consultation.
