Government Response to the Standing Committee on Public Accounts Report Number 32 on the Auditor-General’s Performance Audit Report No 6 of 2016: Bulk Water Alliance
Cabinet endorsed the Government Response to the Standing Committee on Public Accounts Report number 32 on the Auditor-General’s Performance Audit Report No 6 of 2016 titled Bulk Water Alliance and its tabling in the Legislative Assembly in the December 2016 sitting.
Revenue Legislation Amendment Bill 2016 (No. 2)
Cabinet agreed to introduce the Bill in the December 2016 sitting that includes changes to the conveyancing duty process to implement a simpler model for taxpayers and solicitors. The Bill also includes amendments to implement new information technology to make tax collection more efficient in line with the Government’s digital strategy.

Transport Canberra and City Services Legislation Amendment Bill 2016
Cabinet agreed to introduce the Bill in the December 2016 sitting that makes minor and technical amendments of various legislation administered by the Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate.

Planning, Building and Environment Legislation Amendment Bill 2016 (No. 2)
Cabinet agreed to introduce the Bill in the December 2016 sitting that makes minor policy, technical and editorial amendments of various legislation administered by the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate.
Statute Law Amendment Bill 2016
Cabinet agreed to introduce the Bill in the December 2016 sitting that makes minor and technical amendments of legislation under the technical amendments program which aims to make ACT legislation simpler, more coherent and up-to-date.
Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2016 (No. 3)
Cabinet agreed to introduce the Bill in the December 2016 sitting that makes amendments to improve and clarify legislation primarily administered by the Justice and Community Safety Directorate.
Commercial Arbitration Bill 2016
Cabinet agreed to introduce the Bill in the December 2016 sitting that brings the ACT’s commercial arbitration law into line with all other Australian jurisdictions.
Crimes Legislation Amendment Bill 2016
Cabinet agreed to introduce the Bill in the December 2016 sitting that addresses a number of criminal justice issues and includes amendments to the Crimes (Child Sex Offenders) Act 2005, the Crimes (Sentence Administration) Act 2005, the Crimes (Sentencing) Act 2005, the Criminal Code 2002 and the Firearms Act 1996.
