ACT Drug and Alcohol Sentencing List: Process and Outcome Evaluation Final Report (June 2022) – ANU Centre for Social Research & Methods

Several recommendations from the report recommended improvement for data collection and monitoring. This was echoed in the Cost-Benefit Analysis of the Drug and Alcohol Sentencing List, which recommended a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework be created. The Justice and Community Safety Directorate is working with stakeholders to develop a tool to facilitate monitoring and evaluation of individuals sentenced by the Drug and Alcohol Sentencing Court.

Evaluation of ACT Intermediary Program: (ACT Human Rights Commission) Final Report (April 2025)

Victim Support ACT has already progressed some of the recommended actions, such as the training of stakeholders, and improving methods of data collection. Recommendations related to the expansion of the program and the way in which intermediaries are used in other justice-related contexts, are subject to additional resourcing and increase to funding.

Implementations of the ten recommendations arising from this report is ongoing. In response to recommendations, the Restorative Justice Unit has taken steps to increase capacity, reduce wait times and manage referrals.
