The package has 11 modules and is open to all educators.
It aims to give educators:
- a summary of the knowledge and evidence base about trauma and its impact on child development
- principles of trauma responsive practice
- creative and practical strategies that support children and young people in their recovery from trauma
- ways to collaborate with others to maximise the impact of the support provided to vulnerable children and young people.
Educators can also access 11 modules of professional learning about trauma responsive practice, developed by the Australian Childhood Foundation, for a small fee.
