Labour Hire Licensing Advisory Committee

We give advice to the Minister for Skills, Training and Industrial Relations about the ACT labour hire sector and Labour Hire Licensing Act.

What we do

The Labour Hire Licensing (LHL) Advisory Committee was set up under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2020.

This Act created a labour hire provider licensing scheme to protect workers and improve responsible practices in the labour hire sector.

The LHL Advisory Committee meets twice a year and provides advice to the Minister on:

  • the ACT labour hire sector
  • how the law is working and being applied.

The Advisory Committee is supported by the Work Safety Group.

Our members

The committee consists of 6 appointed members. There are also 2 acting appointed committee members who may attend meetings if a member is absent.

Members who represent employers are:

  • Vasuki Paul
  • Jason Sultana
  • Brooke Lord
  • John McCluskey (acting).

Members who represent employees are:

  • Klaus Pinkas
  • Michael Hiscox
  • Jordan Piggott
  • Vacant (acting).

The Ex-officio member on the LHL Advisory Committee is the Labor Hire Commissioner.
