Women's Advisory Council for Gender Equity
We give advice to the ACT Government about policies that affect women, girls and gender diverse people.
What we do
We provide a link between the Minister for Women and women, girls and gender diverse people in the ACT.
We help the ACT Government develop and implement policies that are relevant to women, girls and gender diverse people in the ACT.
The ACT Women’s Plan 2016-26 sets out the government commitment to gender equality and outlines priority areas for action.
For the 2026-28 term we will help to shape the next plan for women, girls and gender equity.
We will:
- support community consultation
- provide advice to the Minister for Women and ACT Government.
