Security and Emergency Management Senior Officials Group
We promote coordinated policy efforts to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.
What we do
The Security and Emergency Management Senior Officials Group (SEMSOG) is established by the Emergencies Act 2004.
Our purpose is to bring together organisations on security and emergency management matters.
To do this we:
- provide cross-government liaison for all directorates and key agencies
- increase capabilities, reduce community vulnerability and improve awareness and training
- give advice to the Minister and Chief Minister
- support the Emergency Services Agency Commissioner and Chief Police Officer.
