Cabinet agreed to additional recurrent resourcing in 2021-22 to meet ongoing costs for the return to school in Terms 1 and 2 2022.

Optional Protocol for the Convention Against Torture Implementation: Designation of a National Preventive Mechanism in the ACT

Cabinet agreed to designate jointly the Office of the Inspector of Correctional Services, the Human Rights Commission and the ACT Ombudsman as the ACT National Preventive Mechanism to meet Australia’s obligations under the Optional Protocol to the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

Options for 2022 National Multicultural Festival

This item was amended on 15 September 2022 to correct an administrative error that is not consistent with the Cabinet Minute. The Submission relates to the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer Cultural Facilities Corporation (Minute number: 21/741/CAB).  This item was not a Cabinet appointment. Under s.11 of the Cultural Facilities Corporation Act 1997, the Chief Executive Officer is a public servant appointed by the Head of Service.  The Head of Service’s decision to appoint the Chief Executive Officer Cultural Facilities Corporation was brought to Cabinet for noting.
