Surrender of Large Generation Certificates (LGCs) to meet 100 per cent renewable electricity target

Cabinet agreed to continue the ACT Government’s policy to surrender sufficient LGCs for financial year 2020-21 and ongoing to meet the ACT’s 100 per cent renewable electricity (RE) target; and to an operating reserve being established to retain any remaining Large Scale Generation Certificates not surrendered in a given financial year, which would be available for future compliance and RE target acquittal purposes.
