Cabinet agreed the Government’s Response to the ACT Auditor-General’s Information Report No 09/2022 – Emergency Services Agency Cleaning Services Arrangements be tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
The purpose of this response is to recognise and acknowledge the Government’s commitment to reflecting and learning from the findings made by the Auditor-General in the Information Report No 09/2022 - Emergency Services Agency Cleaning Services Arrangements. The Information Report findings are intended to improve the effectiveness of and compliance with the Government Procurement Act 2001.

Homelessness Commissioning Process Update – Ministerial Statement

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Homelessness and Housing Services to present a Ministerial Statement on the Homelessness Commissioning Process to the ACT Legislative Assembly.
The Commissioning process will have widespread positive impacts on the community sector and service users. Commissioning provides opportunities to better respond to the community needs, both existing and emerging through increased flexibility and innovation, improves integration across the service system and will reduce the pressure on crisis services for those experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness across the ACT. This plan places trust back into the sector and community to co-design services to make homelessness in Canberra rare, brief, and non-recurring. Further, Commissioning will have direct benefits for people applying for public housing. Applicants on the social housing waitlist, will have access to targeted support and increased flexibility within the Homelessness Sector while they wait for a home to become available.

Household Waste Collection Procurement
