Agriculture and Food in the ACT - Key Findings Report

Cabinet agreed to release the key findings of the Agriculture and Food in the ACT report.
Governance and institutions will be impacted through the release of the report as the study involved surveys and interviews with ACT producers, consumers and key organisations which will inform future Government decisions on Strategy implementation actions.
Magistrates Court (Indicative Sentencing) Amendment Bill 2025 – Agreement to Introduce

Cabinet agreed to introduce the Magistrates Court (Indicative Sentencing) Amendment Bill 2025, which will introduce an indicative sentencing scheme in the Magistrates Court to improve the experience of both victims and defendants in the criminal court system and may result in greater efficiencies for the court.
The Magistrates Court (Indicative Sentencing) Amendment Bill 2025 will have wellbeing impacts across the safety and the governance and institutions domains by improving the experiences of both defendants and victims interacting with the ACT Magistrates Court and is also intended to create efficiencies in the criminal justice system.
New ACT WHS Code of Practice - Managing the Risks Associated with Extreme Temperatures

Cabinet agreed to a new work health and safety code of practice on managing risks associated with work in extreme temperatures.
A new ACT code of practice on Managing the Risks Associated with Extreme Temperatures will have a positive impact on the wellbeing domain of safety for all workers in the Territory. The Code will also promote safer practices and resilience, supporting the wellbeing domain of environment and climate through healthier, more sustainable working conditions.
Budget Control Framework

Cabinet agreed reporting mechanisms to the Expenditure Review Committee of Cabinet and guidance to enhance expenditure control by agencies.

Options for Capital Works Milestone Reporting

Cabinet agreed the streamlining of capital works quarterly reporting to the Expenditure Review Committee of Cabinet (ERC) to enhance agency reporting of financial risk and agreed to the proposed option for public reporting of program milestone progress.
In accordance with the ACT Cabinet Handbook, a Wellbeing Impact Assessment is not required for this item.
Therapeutic Support Panel for Children and Young People 2025 Report

Cabinet agreed to tabling the Therapeutic Support Panel for Children and Young People 2025 Report in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
The Report highlights actions to promote trauma-informed, therapeutic services that address the complex needs of vulnerable children and young people. This approach supports their physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing, contributing to improved health outcomes.
The Report demonstrates the Government’s commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed policy and cross-sector collaboration. This strengthens system accountability, builds trust, and reinforces transparent governance.
The issues outlined in the Report and subsequent actions will positively influence the Safety domain by addressing the root causes of harmful behaviours among vulnerable children and young people and contribute to safer communities by preventing harm, improving individual wellbeing, and fostering a culture of care and resilience.
ACT Circular Economy Strategy and Action Plan Progress Report

Molonglo Town Centre - Assessment of Release and Development Methods.

Cabinet agreed to a land delivery approach in the Molonglo area.
The Wellbeing Impact Assessment identified that the proposal will have a positive impact in the Economy domain through land releases in the Molonglo area.
