Release of the Final Report of the Independent Review into the Overrepresentation of First Nations People in the ACT Justice System

Cabinet agreed to release the Final Report of the Independent Review into the Overrepresentation of First Nations People in the ACT Criminal Justice System.
The public release of the final Report will primarily impact the Governance and Institutions domain and the Identity and Belonging domain. The Final Report presents findings from extensive community consultation into the causes of the overrepresentation of First Nations people in the ACT Justice system and makes recommendations to address these. There are several positive impacts, notably greater connection and engagement from the community with government, and broad positive impact on the wellbeing of First Nations people in the ACT.

While the information in this submission focuses on boys and men, it is not expected that the release of this submission will have a direct impact on any specific group. The release of this submission will not impact, or be impacted by climate change, nor will the release of this submission directly impact future generations.
Government response to E-PET-013-25 & PET-025-25 - Air Conditioning for Canberra High School

Cabinet agreed that the Minister for Education and Early Childhood provide the response to petitions E-PET-013 & PET-025-25 to the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly.
The proposal has a positive impact on education and life-long learning through the improvement of thermal comfort and occupant health in an ACT school facility.
Planning in the Northern Gateway

Cabinet agreed to progress planning work in the Downer/Watson change area identified in the Inner North and City District Strategy, and on the Thoroughbred Park precinct, identified in the Inner North and City District Strategy.
This proposed planning work will have broad positive impacts across several wellbeing domains including Housing and home, Economy, Environment and climate and Access and connectivity.
