National Statement on First Nations in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry

Cabinet agreed to endorse the National Statement on First Nations in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
The National Statement on First Nations in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is expected to have a positive wellbeing impact on the economy and governance and institutions domains by supporting sustainable livelihoods and culturally aligned employment and business opportunities for First Nations peoples, contributing to a stronger, more inclusive economy.
Memorandum of Understanding between Access Canberra and the Gambling and Racing Commission (GRC)

Cabinet noted the renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Gambling and Racing Commission (GRC) and Access Canberra and agreed to the public release of the MOU to be published on the GRC website.
The renewed MOU between the GRC and Access Canberra positively contributes to the domain of Governance and Institutions as it strengthens governance, accountability and performance requirements.
Food Organics and Garden Organics Collection and Processing

Cabinet agreed to continue the planning, and procurement of the FOGO facility.
The implementation of a city-wide FOGO collection service with a large-scale organics processing facility will have a positive impact on the environment and climate wellbeing domain. This is primarily achieved through the diversion of organics from landfill and avoiding the generation of potent methane gas generated from waste.

- Appointment of Acting Judge, Drug and Alcohol Sentencing List (DASL) (Minute Number: 26/283/CAB)

ACT Government response to E-PET-084-25 and PET-031-26 – Closure of Kaleen Indoor Sports Centre
Minute Number: 26/252/CAB
Cabinet agreed the response to Petition E-PET-084-25 and PET-031-26 – Closure of Kaleen Indoor Sports Centre be provided to the Clerk of the Assembly for tabling in the Legislative Assembly.
The response to the Petition recognises the importance of indoor facility provision in supporting the health and social connection benefits of participation in community sport and recreation.
Standing Committee on Transport and City Services – Report 1 – Inquiry into the effectiveness of Fix my Street – Government Response

Cabinet agreed to the Government Response to the Standing Committee on Transport and City Services Report No. 1 – Can We Fix It? Report of the Inquiry into the Effectiveness of Fix My Street.
The Government response to the ACT Legislative Assembly’s resolution progresses the governance and institutions wellbeing domain. Fix My Street allows digital access for Canberrans to a range of ACT Government services and ensures citizens can interact with government in an efficient, safe and seamless way.
