Respiratory illness reporting in the ACT

ACT Health monitors influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and COVID-19 that is confirmed in a laboratory in the ACT.

Generally, notification data represent only a small proportion of cases occurring in the community. All data are preliminary and subject to change as updates are received.

Reporting of acute respiratory illness surveillance has changed since 2020, to incorporate data available for COVID-19 and RSV.

Regularly updated ACT data for COVID-19, RSV and influenza is available from the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS).
