What we do
We give advice to government and community about how to create an inclusive and accessible Canberra.
We make sure the views of people with disability are central to the design, funding and evaluation of the policies, programs and services that affect them.
Our services
- ACT Companion Card program: gives people with disability who need life-long attendant care support free entry for their carer at participating venues.
- Integrated Service Response Program: short-term help to coordinate services and funding for people who need intensive support in a crisis or emergency.

- Disability Justice Strategy 2019 – 2029: A strategy to address unequal access to justice in the ACT.
- ACT Disability Strategy: A strategy to create a more welcoming and accessible community and improve the lives of the 80,000 Canberrans who identify as people with disability.
Advisory councils and reference groups
- ACT Disability Reference Group: the ACT Government's key advisory group on disability issues
- Disability Justice Reference Group: provides guidance to implement the strategy
Awards
- Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards: acknowledgement and celebration of the outstanding achievements of people with disability in the ACT.
