This measure shows the rate of road deaths in the ACT per 100,000 people. This is important as we try to:

The ACT continues to have the lowest rate of road deaths per 100,000 population of all Australian jurisdictions.

Over time, the rate of road deaths in the ACT has increased. The rate was 1.2 per 100,000 population in July 2020, and was at 2.2 in July 2023.
