Experiment: Signage and wayfinding

Experiment: Signage and wayfinding

Haig Park Experiments is undertaking a coordinated signage experiment to provide information about the project, update users as the program develops, and inspire reconnection with Haig Park.

Place Plan Theme: Linkages - ‘To strengthen connections into and within the park.’

Dates: Commencing mid-June

Observation: Haig Park has no sense of being "open for business" due to limited signage which means the public are unaware of what’s on and available for use. There are no existing community noticeboard facilities in the park.

Hypothesis: Signage can better communicate that Haig Park is open for use and generate interest in the experiments. Improved wayfinding signage can improve awareness of Haig Park as a transit rouse and its opportunities for other uses.

Favourable outcome: Increased footfall, improved public perception, and better understanding and engagement with the experiments.

We would love to get your feedback on this experiment. Have YourSay and help to improve Haig Park.
