The City Renewal Authority is dedicated to promoting vibrancy and inclusivity within the City Renewal Precinct of Canberra through its diverse range of grants and sponsorships. These initiatives stimulate growth and community engagement, whilst also enhancing the social, environmental, and economic aspects of the city.
Through these programs, City Renewal partners with the community, businesses, and individuals to assist in the delivery of our City Precinct Renewal Program and meet the goals set out in our Strategic Plan. The programs provide financial and in-kind support for a diverse range of activities.
Our sponsorship program aims to foster the development of a range of activities that contribute to the strategic goals of the Authority. We provide financial and in-kind support to initiatives that raise the Precinct's profile through community engagement, economic expansion, and cultural enrichment. Areas within the program's scope include Dickson, Braddon, and the City Centre.

GrantsThe Placemaking Grants program focuses on fostering a vibrant and connected Civic, Braddon, and Acton through creative placemaking initiatives. Funded by the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy (CCMIL), this program only supports projects within the CCMIL Eligible Area that aren't primarily commercial or directly competitive with existing CCMIL businesses. The program strives to attract individuals to the City Centre and Braddon and contribute to a more dynamic Canberra.
Through this program we aim to attract workers, residents, and visitors to the City Centre and Braddon (the CCMIL eligible area) and contribute to the development of a more connected and dynamic Canberra.
