National Multicultural Festival business activation grants

Grants of up to $1,000 now available Multicultural-themed business activations in the City Centre and Braddon during the 2026 National Multicultural Festival.

If you are a registered business located within the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy (CCMIL) area, you are invited to apply for funding to deliver multicultural-themed activations that celebrate Canberra’s cultural diversity and enhance the 2026 National Multicultural Festival experience.

Whether it’s a special menu item inspired by culture, an in-store performance, a cultural art installation, or a themed event, this program is about getting creative, getting involved, and helping shape a city experience that reflects the richness of our community.

Participating businesses will be promoted through festival marketing channels, including online listings, social media, and printed materials – helping you connect with thousands of festival-goers and visitors.

This program – delivered by the City Renewal Authority in partnership with the teams at the National Multicultural Festival and Infrastructure Canberra – complements other ongoing business support initiatives. This includes the business activation grants for areas impacted by the construction of light rail to Commonwealth Park.
