Decorative lighting

Experiment: Decorative Lighting

Haig Park Experiments is trialling a range of decorative lighting installations to be installed for key experiments during the program that positively present the park at night.

Place plan theme: Safety.

Date: August – October, coinciding with specific experiments.

Observation: Haig Park is perceived as dark and dangerous and lacks a coherent identity. The inherent beauty of the park is not well presented.

Hypothesis: Decorative lighting installations could improve the perception of Haig Park and contribute to a more positive identity.

Favourable outcome: The park is perceived as a beautiful space to walk through and use at night.
